On Thursday 14th November we will be welcoming Kevin Pickard, Swim England East Region Talent Officer to BPSC and to Basildon Sporting Village.
Kevin oversees all of Swim England East Region’s swimming talent development initiatives, including the very popular development days. Kevin is a very popular speaker who has extensive experience of training age group athletes to national and international level. He assists with the delivery of the Adam Peaty Race/Development Days.
The purpose of the visit to to provide up-to-the minute information and development advice to parents of swimmers.
With this in mind, he will be giving two talks specifically aimed at the parents/guardians of competitive swimmers – one at 18:40 and another at 19:40. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend either talk, although the first one will primarily be aimed at parents of swimmers who are under 14 and the second will focus slightly more on older swimmers.
As part of these presentations, the committee will also present some key strategic information about the season ahead such as galas, volunteering and new officials training procedures.
The talks will take place in the creche at BSV. We look forward to welcoming Kevin to Basildon on the 14th.
