Day 2: British Summer Championships in Sheffield
The swimmers continued to perform at a high level in Sheffield today with 9 heat swims this morning and 3 swims in the finals.
Danielle Hartin competed in the MC 100m Backstroke with a 1:16.86 to finish in 11th place narrowly missing the final
Vejune Petraityte swam in the 200m Breaststroke posting 2:44.06 to finish in 15th place in the 15yr age group
James Dillon posted a new personal best time in the heats of the 50m Breaststroke with a 33.08sec to finish in 16th place with Jack Williams in 11th place in the 15yrs when powering to 31.99sec
Mason Hunnisett posted a new personal best in the 200m Fly with 2:13.76 in the heat then came back to finish in 7th place in the final with yet another pb of 2:13.13
We had 4 boys in the 100m Backstroke: Sam Pease was 16th in the 17/18yrs with his 1:00.33; Liam Brennan posted a new pb of 1:01.63 to finish 12th in the 15yrs whilst James Cooper (1:00.61) and Sam Perks (1:01.19) qualified for the 15yrs final both posting pb’s in the heats. James went on to improve on his heat time in the final with a 1:00.50 to finish 6th and Sam in 9th place with a time of 1:01.60
