Please take a moment to read the below. The club and sport is in short supply of swimming officials. So to try to rectify this for the benefit of everyone, BPSC are running a Swimming Officials Time Keepers course on Friday 13th October starting at 6:30pm.
This will consist of a classroom session and a poolside assessment.
The Time keeper qualification is the first step to becoming a Swimming Judge, and gives a good insight into how it all works. It will allow you to time keep at galas and league meetings, which in turn will allow these events to take place.
The sport is in great need of swimming officials. So, as Essex’s largest and (currently at least) one of its most successful clubs, we want to get as many of our swim parents involved as possible. We especially need qualified officials for our Club Champs taking place later this year because, being the only club in attendance, we must supply all of the officials from within our club.
So please consider signing up by sending your name to officials@phoenixbasildonsc.org and we will send you the ASA form to complete so that you can be registered to take the course. There is no financial cost to you, only a small amount of your time.
